Leopard Motors Power VTOL Project to ISEF Top 4
2026-06-25
We are proud to share that a custom, largely 3D-printed tiltrotor VTOL aircraft project sponsored by our U.S. distributor, Altitude Hobbies, earned 4th Place in Engineering Technology at the 2026 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
Developed by 16-year-old student engineer Aarit Dixit, the project utilized Leopard 2835-9T brushless motors to meet the demanding requirements of VTOL flight.
After extensive testing, Aarit commented:
"The Leopard 2835-9T motors delivered exceptional thrust consistency and thermal stability throughout the VTOL flight envelope. Even after repeated high-stress transitions from hover to forward flight, the motors performed flawlessly with no signs of overheating or power sag."
We are honored that Leopard motors contributed to this achievement and proud to support the next generation of innovators.
Congratulations to Aarit, and thank you to Altitude Hobbies for making this project possible.
Age is just a number. Passion is the answer.
